This 30-credit certificate is designed for non-francophone students with foundational French skills who want to consolidate and expand their oral and written comprehension and production in French. Coursework develops interactional competencies, grammar knowledge, and digital literacy in French, and includes experiential activities that let students apply their skills in practical settings. The program targets a B2 level on the CECRL scale, or levels 7-8 on the Quebec government's proficiency scale, by completion. It suits international students, immigrants, and other non-francophone residents who need structured, university-level French instruction to support academic, professional, or civic life in Quebec. The program is offered at Universite du Quebec a Montreal on a full-time or part-time basis, with admission in the fall and winter trimesters.
