This 45-credit professional master's program trains applied geography specialists to address spatial and territorial planning challenges using geographic information systems (GIS) and other analytical tools. It integrates multidisciplinary perspectives on geography to prepare graduates for careers solving territorial and land-use planning problems in public and private organizations. Study can be completed full-time in two years or part-time in four years, with admission offered in the fall and winter terms; classes are held during the day and evening. The program draws primarily on candidates with a specialized bachelor's degree in geography, though holders of a bachelor's degree in another field with substantial geography coursework are also eligible, in some cases through conditional admission requiring additional preparatory courses.
