Université du Québec à Rimouski offers BA/BS in Business Administration, a bachelor's degree in Business Administration programme in Rimouski, Canada. The programme runs for 3 years. Tuition for international students is CAD 12,276 per semester (CAD 1,911 per semester for local students).
This Bachelor of Business Administration (B.A.A.) trains students for management roles in organizations, combining a common foundation in accounting, marketing, human resources and strategy with a choice of concentration. The 90-credit program is normally completed over six trimesters and is offered full-time or part-time at the Rimouski, Levis, and Cote-Nord (Baie-Comeau) campuses, with intakes in fall, winter or summer depending on location. Every concentration includes a supervised internship of at least 140 hours, and students can opt into an international profile that allows a term or year of study abroad. Concentration choices include entrepreneurship, finance, human resource management, marketing, business technology, financial services, and a maritime operations and logistics stream reflecting the region's port and transport sector, alongside general and general-with-experiential-approach pathways at the Baie-Comeau site. The program suits college (DEC) graduates and others preparing for management careers or for professional designations such as Adm.A. or CRHA in human resources. Its regional structure, spanning multiple campuses along Quebec's Bas-Saint-Laurent and North Shore, makes it accessible to students outside major urban centres who want a business degree combined with practical workplace experience.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Quebec CEGEP graduates need a Diplôme d'études collégiales with a cote R of at least 22 and one completed college-level mathematics course; those with a cote R of 20-22 or lacking the math course must pass a math placement test, with scores of 0-50% requiring remedial coursework, and those below cote R 20 are redirected to the certificate program. University-credit applicants need five completed university courses (15 credits) with a cumulative average of at least 2.4/4.3, plus a completed college-level mathematics course. Applicants with a diploma from outside Quebec need the equivalent of a DEC with an average of 12/20, with the same math-testing and remedial rules, to be completed within 12 months. As with all UQAR programs, applicants must meet the university's French Language Mastery Policy, providing an accepted French test (TEF 460, TCF 460 or Bright Language 3.5 across all three skills) if their foreign diploma does not exempt them, or sitting the institutional French exam after admission, with a mandatory French course on failure. The bachelor's degree is not open to admission on work experience alone; such candidates are directed to the certificate program instead.
Application Details
Start Date:September, January and May
Application Deadline:UQAR divides its academic year into fall, winter and summer trimesters; most programmes admit for fall and several also for winter or summer, and for non-contingented programmes an application can be filed at any time up to the start of term, making admission effectively rolling, while contingented (quota) programmes each carry their own fixed deadline published on that programme's own page rather than centrally. UQAR applies this same timeline to Canadian and international applicants and does not publish a separate blanket international closing date; international candidates must still secure a Certificat d'acceptation du Quebec and a study permit before arriving, and must upload supporting documents within six weeks of starting an application or the file is closed, so early application is strongly recommended. Admission is therefore rolling except where a specific programme is contingented. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
