MA/MS in Maritime Resources Management is a master's degree in Marine Science programme offered by Université du Québec à Rimouski in Rimouski, Canada. The programme runs for 2 years, delivered on campus. Tuition for international students is CAD 7,423 per semester (CAD 1,558 per semester for local students).
This Master of Science in Maritime Resource Management integrates management, natural science, social science and legal perspectives on marine and coastal issues, with students specializing in one of three streams: fisheries management, coastal and marine environmental management, or maritime transport. The 45-credit program offers two delivery profiles: a professional, non-thesis track built on 27 credits of required courses, 18 elective credits, and a capstone integration activity, or a research track that replaces part of the coursework with a 21-credit thesis. Classes are generally held in person on weekdays at the Rimouski campus, with full-time and part-time study available and admission in the autumn and winter terms. Faculty research areas feeding into the program span fisheries capacity management, aquaculture economics, coastal governance, maritime commerce policy, and fleet management. The program is aimed at holders of a first-cycle degree in fields such as environmental science, management, economics, or law who want applied training in managing marine and coastal resources rather than a purely scientific oceanography degree. Its combination of a professional non-thesis option alongside a research pathway lets students choose between a faster route into maritime-sector management roles and a more research-oriented preparation for further graduate study.

Application Details
Start Date:September and January
Application Deadline:UQAR divides its academic year into fall, winter and summer trimesters; most programmes admit for fall and several also for winter or summer, and for non-contingented programmes an application can be filed at any time up to the start of term, making admission effectively rolling, while contingented (quota) programmes each carry their own fixed deadline published on that programme's own page rather than centrally. UQAR applies this same timeline to Canadian and international applicants and does not publish a separate blanket international closing date; international candidates must still secure a Certificat d'acceptation du Quebec and a study permit before arriving, and must upload supporting documents within six weeks of starting an application or the file is closed, so early application is strongly recommended. Admission is therefore rolling except where a specific programme is contingented. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
