The Doctorate in Education at Université du Québec en Outaouais is a 90-credit, third-cycle program offering advanced, interdisciplinary research training in education. It prepares researchers to draw on a range of research approaches to address educational problems arising in school, social, and government settings. The program combines advanced seminars with an independent research component culminating in a doctoral thesis, and it can be pursued on a full-time or part-time basis. Admission takes place once a year, in the fall trimester only. Applicants are required to submit an outline of an acceptable research project as part of their application, and admission also depends on the availability of a faculty member able to supervise the proposed research.
