This certificate provides a complementary program in the foundations and strategies of education, combining the history and theory of education with approaches suited to diverse learners. Students study Quebec's school curriculum framework and develop the skills of a reflective practitioner, working toward greater professional autonomy in educational settings. The 30-credit, first-cycle program is designed for those already working or interested in working in education-related fields, complementing prior training or experience with structured pedagogical knowledge rather than delivering a standalone teaching qualification on its own. It is offered in full-time and part-time formats at the Gatineau and Saint-Jérôme campuses, with admission open in the Fall, Winter, and Summer terms, leading to a Certificate credential from Université du Québec en Outaouais.
