This 45-credit master's program, clinical profile, trains registered nurses for advanced clinical practice in healthcare settings, leading to a Maîtrise ès sciences. The curriculum is structured across six terms and combines advanced nursing theory with supervised clinical practice, without a thesis component or a specialized nurse-practitioner scope of medical practice. It is designed to deepen clinical expertise and leadership for nurses already working in the field, rather than to prepare researchers or nurse practitioners, and requires an active nursing licence for admission. The program is offered on a full-time or part-time basis at UQO's Gatineau and Saint-Jérôme campuses, with admission in the fall, winter, and summer terms. Admission also requires a bachelor's degree in nursing with a strong cumulative average and a sufficient working knowledge of English.
