This Bachelor of Arts in History is a 90-credit, three-year full-time program providing training in historical analysis through the study of primary sources and human experience across time periods and societies. The curriculum develops research skills and historical understanding applicable to archival work, teaching, publishing, museum and heritage work, and further graduate study in history. The program admits applicants from Quebec CEGEPs, other Canadian provinces, and international backgrounds, with non-francophone applicants required to demonstrate French-language proficiency and complete a French-language pathway program where needed.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Quebec applicants need any DEC. Applicants from outside Quebec need a secondary diploma plus one year of university studies. International applicants need a 13-year pre-university diploma, or a 12-year diploma plus one year of higher education, or a French general/technological secondary teaching certificate, or a Belgian general upper-secondary certificate. All applications are assessed on the quality of the academic record. Non-francophone applicants must pass the TCF test and may be required to complete a French-language pathway program.
