This certificate in History deepens knowledge of major historical periods and regions around the world through the study of historical methods and approaches. Coursework encourages reflection on the study of the past as a way of better understanding the contemporary world, and students can shape their own path across ancient, medieval, and modern history, as well as regional specializations. The 30-credit programme is designed to be completed in one year of full-time study, with individual courses also offered in distance, hybrid, or comodal formats. It is intended for students seeking a general grounding in history for personal interest, as preparation for further study, or as a complement to another credential. Admission is offered for the Fall and Winter terms, with exceptional Summer admission in some years.
