This cooperative Bachelor of Engineering program covers materials science across the full production chain, from extraction and elaboration to the utilization of metals and advanced materials such as ceramics, polymers, and composites. Students study the properties of metals and manufacturing processes and choose a concentration in Biomaterials or Materials and Metallurgy. The program totals 120 credits over 4 years (11 sessions; winter admission allows completion in 9 sessions). Its cooperative format includes three paid four-month internships with industry and university supervision, plus team-based integrative projects submitted by industry partners. Admission for Quebec DEC holders requires a DEC in Natural Sciences, Science/Arts, or International Baccalaureate (Science), or any DEC plus prerequisite courses in chemistry, mathematics, and physics; compensatory courses are available for missing prerequisites. International applicants need 13 years of pre-university education, or 12 years plus one year of university study, with an adequate science background. Intake is offered in the Fall and Winter terms.
