This interuniversity doctoral program in earth sciences is a 90-credit degree with an estimated full-time duration of four years, and must be completed in a minimum of six and a maximum of twelve sessions. It is organized around two research and training axes: geodynamics and resources, and geo-engineering and environment, allowing specialization in fundamental or applied geology and geological engineering fields. The program develops candidates' capacity to design an original research project and to conduct research autonomously. Candidates must hold a master's degree in earth sciences, geology or geological engineering, or an equivalent diploma, and must secure written confirmation from a research supervisor before admission. Applicants must also submit three letters of appraisal and a detailed letter describing their research interests. Admission is offered for the fall, winter and summer terms.
