Admission Requirements: The University of Regina's Faculty of Social Work does not admit students to the Bachelor or Diploma of Indigenous Social Work directly from high school; entrants must first complete the Indigenous Social Work Qualifying year at First Nations University of Canada. Per FNUniv's own admissions information, the Qualifying program requires a minimum 70% average across English Language Arts A30, English Language Arts B30, two further approved 30-level courses (Math, Science, Language, or Social Sciences), and one additional approved 30-level course. Qualifying students then complete 24 credit hours — ENGL 100, INDG 100, two elective courses (INDG 104 recommended), INSW 200, INSW 321, INSW 351, and INSW 377 — before becoming eligible for the Bachelor or Diploma program. Neither program page sets out its own English-language test scores; as an undergraduate Faculty of Social Work program not exempted from the university's general policy, applicants would otherwise need IELTS Academic overall 6.5 (no band below 6.0), TOEFL iBT 83 (83 before 21 January 2026, 4.5 overall on the revised scale after), PTE Academic 59, CAEL 60, or Duolingo 120.
