MA/MS in Environment and Sustainability is a master's degree in Sustainable Development programme taught at University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Canada. The programme runs for 2 years, delivered on campus. Tuition for international students is CAD 4,590 per semester (CAD 2,040 per semester for local students).
This thesis-based Master of Environment and Sustainability, expected to take two to three years, is an interdisciplinary program that prepares students to integrate knowledge across disciplines to address environmental and sustainability problems. Coursework and research examine the scientific, technical, political, social, economic, and institutional factors that shape sustainability issues, building skills in complex problem-solving and the foundations of sustainability practice. Instruction and supervision are delivered entirely in person. The program suits students who want to work across disciplinary boundaries on sustainability challenges rather than specialize narrowly in one natural or social science, and it prepares graduates for roles in knowledge generation, translation, and decision-making across academia, industry, nonprofit organizations, and government. It is a fit for students seeking a broad, systems-level approach to environmental problem-solving, with the thesis component allowing them to pursue original research on a sustainability topic of their choosing within an interdisciplinary framework.
