Forensic Anthropology is offered as a Specialist (HBSc) at the University of Toronto Mississauga. The program covers the study of human biology, archaeology, and ethnohistory, the study of body deposition and scene reconstruction, human-remains recovery, and human identification, building scientific analysis, theory, laboratory, and field skills with the option to focus on one particular area in greater detail. The department maintains partnerships with organizations including the Centre of Forensic Sciences, the Office of the Chief Coroner for the Province of Ontario, the Ontario Provincial Police, the RCMP, and other police services and agencies worldwide. A capstone requirement (FSC481Y5, or a combination of FSC482H5 with other FSC/ANT courses) is required for completion, alongside required courses including ANT415H5, ANT439H5, and ANT441H5. A UTM Co-op Internship Program stream is available for eligible students, and applicants already holding a degree in Anthropology may not complete this Specialist due to course overlap.
