Mathematics and Its Applications: Probability/Statistics is an Honours Bachelor of Science Specialist program in the Faculty of Arts & Science at the University of Toronto's St. George campus, for students whose interests span mathematics and its applications in probability and statistics. It is an open-enrolment program: a student may enrol once they have completed 4.0 credits. The Specialist requires 11.5 to 12.5 credits across four areas: fundamentals (7.0 credits in calculus/analysis, algebra, differential equations, computer programming, and probability/statistics), 0.5 credit addressing ethics and social responsibility, further studies in probability and statistics (3.0 credits in data analysis, related structures, and advanced statistics), and further studies in mathematics (2.0 to 2.5 credits in groups/symmetries, complex variables, real analysis, partial differential equations/optimization, and advanced topics). Students may complete the program through the optional Arts & Science Internship Program (ASIP) co-op stream. Admission from Ontario secondary school requires an OSSD with six Grade 12 4U/M courses, including English and Calculus & Vectors.
