Overview
Physics, Medical Physics is a four-year Honours Bachelor of Science program at the University of Windsor focused on the application of physics principles and technology to the diagnosis and treatment of disease, particularly cancer, and to medical imaging. Students specialize in medical imaging and radiation therapy, with research and work experience available from first year through collaborations with local health-care institutions including the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, Henry Ford Hospital, and the University of Windsor Institute for Diagnostic Imaging Research. Class sizes are limited, giving students direct access to faculty. A co-op option and an optional undergraduate thesis are available. The program prepares graduates for careers or further study in medical physics, radiation therapy, medical imaging, and related health-science and research fields.

Admission Requirements: Ontario Secondary School applicants must complete the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with a minimum 70% average across all attempted science and math courses. Program-specific prerequisites are Advanced Functions (MHF4U), Physics (SPH4U), and English (ENG4U), with Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U) strongly recommended and Chemistry (SCH4U) recommended. Requirements are equivalent for applicants outside the Ontario secondary system.
