Requirements
Admission Requirements: On top of VIU's general admission requirements for academic programmes you need a minimum "C+" in English 12, a minimum "B" in Pre-Calculus 12, a minimum "C+" in Physics 12, and a minimum "C+" in Chemistry 12. VIU invites applicants who are missing Chemistry 12 or an equivalent to apply anyway and reviews them case by case. Calculus 12 and Programming 12 are recommended where your school offers them.
Admission is decided on GPA ranking, and meeting the minimums does not guarantee a seat.
One route note from VIU: applicants looking to transfer two or more courses into the diploma are generally not eligible for direct admission and are advised to apply to the Bachelor of Science instead and consult the Engineering Advisor.
