Overview
Honours Specialization in Spanish at Western University, formerly titled Honours Specialization in Spanish Language and Hispanic Cultures, is an undergraduate module offered by the Department of Languages, Cultures, and Linguistics in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. The module requires 9.0 courses: Spanish 2200 and Spanish 3300 (2.0 courses), 3.5 further courses at the Spanish 2100 level or above, 2.5 courses at the Spanish 3100 level or above, and the capstone course Spanish 4410E. Entry requires prior completion of Spanish 1030, or equivalent standing through Grade 12U Spanish. Teaching is based on Western's main campus in London, Ontario. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet Western's institution-wide proof-of-English-proficiency policy, e.g. IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0, or TOEFL iBT 83 with no section below 20.
