Admission Requirements: The Master of Data Analytics requires a four-year bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, or a related quantitative field (e.g. actuarial science, financial modelling, mathematics, physics, economics, or computer software engineering), with a minimum average of 75% (or Canadian equivalent) over the final two years of study, though the effective cut-off may run higher depending on the applicant pool. Prerequisite coursework, each at a minimum of 75%, comprises two half-courses of calculus, one of linear algebra, one of calculus-based probability, one of calculus-based statistics, one further mathematically-mature upper-year half-course, and two half-courses of computer programming; the AI specialization additionally requires second-year-or-above half-courses in data structures and algorithms, software tools/systems programming or software design, and logic for computer science, each at 75%. For applicants whose first language is not English, the program requires Duolingo 120, IELTS 7.0 overall (no component below 6.5), or TOEFL iBT 94 overall (reading, listening ≥22, speaking ≥26, writing ≥24). No GRE or GMAT is required. Domestic applications close June 15; international applications are currently closed.
