The MSc in Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance at Western University is a one-year, course-based degree run through the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology in the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. Over three terms, students combine coursework with a year-long major research project supervised by a faculty member and a full-term practicum placement at Western University and the London Health Sciences Centre. The program is aimed at candidates who already have health-related education or experience, and combines academic training with practical, workplace-based experience in drug safety and pharmacovigilance. It suits health professionals and health-related graduates who want applied training in monitoring and evaluating medication safety, rather than a thesis-based research degree.
