The Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) is a professional graduate program at Western University's Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. It runs full-time over two years across six terms, combining coursework with clinical and project-based training to prepare graduates to practise as physician assistants under physician supervision across a range of health care settings. Admission requires a four-year undergraduate degree, a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 out of 4.0 (75 per cent) over the final two full-time years of study, and is preferably built on a background in health, biomedical, or related sciences, with prior coursework in human anatomy, human physiology, and statistics or biostatistics considered an asset. Healthcare experience gained through employment, volunteering, or research is also preferred. Admitted students must provide current immunization records, CPR and First Aid certification, and pass a criminal record check, including vulnerable sector screening. The program leads to the Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree.

A background in health, biomedical, or related sciences is preferred, along with prior coursework in human anatomy, human physiology, and statistics/biostatistics, and prior healthcare experience (employment, volunteer, or research). Admitted students must submit immunization records, current CPR and First Aid certification, and a criminal record check including vulnerable sector screening. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet Western's English proficiency requirement (e.g. TOEFL iBT 86 with no section below 20, IELTS Academic 7.0, or CAEL 60).
