Hons in Physics

Honours Specialization in Physics at Western University is an undergraduate module offered by the Department of Physics and Astronomy in the Faculty of Science. The module comprises 10.0 courses built on first-year physics, calculus and a supporting quantitative course such as chemistry, computer science, data science or statistical sciences. Students also complete a sequence of mandatory non-credit seminar courses (Physics 2950Y, 3950Y and 4950Y) that run alongside the credit courses across the upper years. Entry to the module requires an average of at least 70% across 3.5 principal first-year courses, with no individual mark below 60%. Teaching is based on Western's main campus in London, Ontario.
