Overview
The Master of Public Health (MPH) at Western University is a 12-month, case-based program that uses real public health issues as the basis for student learning, with an emphasis on leadership, policy, and sustainability. Faculty are drawn from the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry and the Faculties of Science and Social Science. The program runs full-time over three terms, is CEPH-accredited, admits a small cohort of up to 60 students, and includes a 12-week practicum. Admission requires a four-year undergraduate degree with a minimum average of 70 per cent (Canadian equivalent) over the final two years of study, demonstrated public health experience through work, volunteering, or similar activity, and is recommended to include a completed undergraduate statistics course with a minimum of 70 per cent within the last five years. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet Western's English proficiency requirement.
