Kinesiology (PhD)

The PhD in Kinesiology at Wilfrid Laurier University offers an integrated approach to research training, allowing students to pursue independent scholarship within the broader field of kinesiology and physical education. Students work closely with faculty supervisors to design and complete an original dissertation project. Admission requires a master's degree in Kinesiology, Physical Education, or a related discipline, with a minimum A- standing. Applicants whose prior postsecondary instruction was not in English must submit evidence of English proficiency. The program is delivered full-time and in person, with students admitted for the Fall term. Graduates are prepared for research and academic careers, as well as advanced practice roles that draw on expertise in human movement, exercise science, and related areas of kinesiology.
