Overview

The combined Master of Arts (MA) in Theology and Master of Divinity (MDiv), offered through Luther Seminary at Wilfrid Laurier University, is completed in three years (nine consecutive terms) of full-time study, with part-time options available. Students choose one of two fields, Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy or Spiritualities and Community Engagement, each offered with a contextual or coursework option. The programme is delivered in person and prepares graduates for ordained or lay ministry, chaplaincy, and spiritual care roles requiring both an academic theology credential and professional formation. Admission requires an Honours four-year bachelor's degree in any field, with a minimum GPA of B. Applicants whose prior postsecondary instruction was not in English must submit evidence of English proficiency. The programme begins each September.
