The Master of Sacred Theology (S.T.M.) is a course-based, non-thesis program offered by the School of Religious Studies in the Faculty of Arts at McGill University. It is approved by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada and may be completed part-time with appropriate permission from the School. The School is affiliated with the Montreal Diocesan Theological College of the Anglican Church of Canada, the Presbyterian College Montreal, and the United Theological College of the United Church of Canada. The program is intended for students preparing for ministry within the Christian church or another religious institution, or moving toward a teaching career or work in social services, and develops skills in literature review, information synthesis, and scholarly writing. Admission requires an eligible bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 and English-language proficiency. The program admits students in the Fall term only.
