This Bachelor of Arts programme in Creative Writing develops students' writing voice across multiple literary forms, including fiction, poetry, memoir and digital storytelling. Students receive feedback from working writers, including the programme's Writers-in-Residence, and engage with authors, editors and agents through events such as the Rishma Dunlop Reading Series; field trips to publishers and printers show how books are created and brought to market. An optional paid co-op builds practical writing, editing and communication experience alongside professional networks. The programme is delivered on campus within the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies and admits students in the Fall, Winter and Summer terms, for both first-year and upper-year entry, subject to a supplementary portfolio application. It leads to a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree and prepares graduates for roles such as editor, author, screenwriter, podcaster, literary agent, content writer and publisher.
