This Bachelor of Fine Arts is Canada's only undergraduate degree program dedicated to screenwriting and creative producing. Instruction takes place in a workshop-based environment, with small workshops led by industry professionals and master classes with established screenwriters. By graduation, students build a portfolio of original writing and project-development work, gain experience in professional-level workshops, and develop the creative, collaborative, and entrepreneurial skills used across film, television, streaming, and digital storytelling. The program is based at the Keele Campus and can be taken full-time or part-time. All applicants must submit a supplementary evaluation. Admission from Ontario secondary school requires English plus additional academic courses, with an admission average in the mid-70s; college and university transfer applicants need a minimum 3.3 average on a 4-point scale. Intake is offered in the fall and summer terms.
