This program leads to a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Media Arts, offered full-time or part-time. Students engage in constant experimentation with a wide range of technologies, techniques and processes in visual and multi-sensory storytelling, working with digital tools, 3D design software and virtual-production techniques that blend animation, game design, visual effects, sound design, motion capture, and augmented and virtual reality. Entry is available in fall, winter and summer for both first-year and upper-year applicants. Requirements
Admission Requirements: Ontario high-school applicants need ENG4U plus five additional 4U or M courses, with an academic average in the mid-70s required for admission and a final academic average of 70% needed to maintain the offer; a minimum IB diploma score of 30 applies for International Baccalaureate applicants, and equivalent province- and country-specific curriculum requirements apply to other applicants. Unless exempt, applicants must meet York's undergraduate English proficiency minimums published on the language-requirements page: IELTS Academic 6.5, TOEFL iBT 88, PTE Academic 60, Duolingo 120, or CAEL 60.
