This program leads to a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Neuroscience, offered full-time at the Keele Campus jointly by the Faculty of Health and the Faculty of Science, with entry in Fall only for both first-year and upper-year students. Students study the brain and nervous system through cognition, neurobiology, anatomy, physiology and sensory systems, applying this knowledge to challenges such as Alzheimer's disease, depression and brain injury. From third year, students choose a specialization stream in cellular and molecular, cognitive and behavioural, or systems neuroscience, offered respectively through the Kinesiology & Health Science, Psychology and Biology routes. Small class sizes support hands-on learning through research, laboratory work, simulations and a capstone project, with co-op placements available. The program suits students seeking a research-oriented science degree with the option to specialize in a particular area of brain and behaviour study from third year onward.
