Overview
The Diploma in Advanced Accounting (DAAc) is a concurrent graduate diploma for Master of Accounting (MAcc) students at York University's Schulich School of Business. Students who elect to graduate from the MAcc program after completing Term 2 are eligible to earn the DAAc alongside their master's degree. The diploma is accredited by CPA Ontario and focuses on developing critical thinking and decision-making skills through applied case analysis in accounting. It is designed for MAcc students who want formal recognition of advanced accounting coursework completed partway through their degree, without continuing to full MAcc completion. Because it is a concurrent credential, admission is tied to enrolment in the MAcc program rather than a separate application process. The DAAc is administered by the Schulich School of Business as part of its suite of accounting-focused graduate credentials for MAcc students.
