Overview

The Bachelor of Public Administration examines how governments and public organizations develop, manage, and deliver services, covering policy-making, governance, public finance, and management alongside issues of ethics, equity, and social justice. The honours-only program offers specialization in policy analysis, management, or law and public policy, and incorporates applied learning through co-op, internship, practicum, or project-based options. A Certificate in Public Administration is also available. The program has been ranked tied for second in Canada for Social Policy and Administration in the QS World Rankings 2026. Admission from Ontario secondary school requires senior-level mathematics and English plus additional Grade 12 courses, with pathways for mature students, college and university transfer applicants, and International Baccalaureate holders. Intake is offered in the fall, winter, and summer terms, with full-time and part-time study available.

Admission Requirements: Admission requires senior-level mathematics across all pathways plus an English language qualification and additional academic courses at the Grade 12 or senior secondary level; Ontario applicants typically need an admission average in the low-to-mid 70s, with a final average of 70% required to maintain the offer. Mature-student entry is available from age 21 with two years out of full-time high school, and International Baccalaureate applicants need a minimum of 28 diploma points.
