Sociology at York University examines the social structures behind everyday human experience, including power relations, economic inequality, gender identity, migration, media, race, and technology. The program develops critical thinking and research skills applied across many fields, combining theoretical study with methods training. It leads to a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and is offered through the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies on the Keele campus, with full-time and part-time study options. Students may enter the program in Fall, Winter, or Summer at first-year or upper-year level.
