Overview

The Certificate of Proficiency in Chinese Language allows students to integrate Chinese-language study into their broader academic program. It is intended for students who want to build language proficiency as a practical skill applicable across many disciplines and career paths, without committing to a full language degree. The certificate can be completed concurrently with a bachelor's degree or consecutively after one is completed. It is offered by the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, delivered on campus on a part-time basis, with a Fall start term, and is open to both current York students pursuing a bachelor's degree and to holders of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution who meet Faculty and University admissibility policies for the certificate.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Open to current York University students pursuing a bachelor's degree concurrently, as well as to students who already hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and are admissible according to Faculty and University policies.
