Overview

The Public Policy Analysis Certificate gives a student's academic record a public policy analysis emphasis, developing the ability to analyze public policies and the role of government in civil society. Applicants to the stand-alone certificate must normally have completed an undergraduate degree in any discipline with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 5.00; current York students may enter after completing at least 24 credits with the same minimum average. The certificate requires at least 12 credits of required disciplinary certificate courses in addition to the student's concurrent degree requirements. It is offered by the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies and admits students in the Fall, Winter, and Summer terms. On completion it is recorded on the transcript, documenting focused study of public policy analysis alongside the student's primary qualification.

Minimum GPA: 5.00 / 9.0
Admission Requirements: Admission to the stand-alone certificate program requires students to have normally completed an undergraduate degree in any discipline with a minimum cumulative GPA of 5.00. Current York students should have completed at least 24 credits with a minimum cumulative GPA of 5.00. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 5.00 in the certificate courses is required, with at least 12 credits of the required disciplinary certificate courses.
