MA/MS in Naturwissenschaftliche Informatik

This Master's programme pairs advanced informatics with one natural science, chosen from biology, chemistry, physics or biotechnology. Teaching concentrates on up-to-date methods and findings, and students learn to talk with experts from either discipline. A branch taught in English exists for those who enrolled earlier than the winter term of 2025, so that non-German speakers can follow the courses; English ability is normally confirmed by a test. The faculty does not cover the cost of any German classes for international students. The degree extends what students learned in their Bachelor's studies and allows them to specialise in areas that interest them. Exchange stays abroad are possible through Erasmus+ and wider university partnerships.
