Financial management is a professional bachelor's programme at the University of Latvia, taught in Latvian in central Riga. Full-time study takes eight semesters and part-time study nine, with 240 ECTS credits in total. Graduates receive a professional bachelor's degree in financial management and the qualification of financier.
The programme aims to train highly qualified financiers for work in state institutions, commercial companies in any sector of the economy, municipal institutions, and non-governmental and international organisations.
Full-time study offers state-funded and fee-paying places, while part-time study offers fee-paying places only. Annual fees are published separately for each mode of study, with a lower fee for citizens of the EU, the EEA and Switzerland than for citizens of other countries. The full-time intake is five state-funded and fifty fee-paying places, and the part-time route has thirty fee-paying places.
