Overview
This master's programme trains public health professionals to organise and implement non-formal health-education programmes for children and adults, grounded in evidence-based practice and the fundamentals of educational science. Core subjects include children and teenage health, health education theories and modelling, leadership in health education, health policy and strategic management, health information technologies in educational process management, and addiction prevention in the community, concluding with a master's thesis.
Learning outcomes include designing research into how health-promotion interventions affect public health, prioritising and justifying global and national public health policy development, and systematically analysing scientific literature and good practice to find effective health-promotion methods. The programme also covers primary health care and community health, active and healthy ageing, and health care quality management, alongside training and project management skills for leading health-education initiatives and coaching within educational leadership roles.
