Overview
This Bachelor's programme brings together English and Spanish, two languages spoken across the world. Students examine the structure of each language and the relationships among linguistic phenomena. They reach B2 level in Spanish and strengthen their English along the way. Reaching that level in a second language is a stated aim of the degree.
The curriculum covers the ancient world, literature and the study of language, as well as the societies, politics and cultures of Spanish-speaking countries. Specialised modules deepen linguistic understanding, and elective and individual study subjects let students shape their own path.
Graduates with two foreign languages develop intercultural skills and can look to a wide range of careers, because employers value multilingual speakers. The programme describes this pairing as a double advantage when entering work.
