Overview
The programme trains graduates for middle- and senior-management roles inside international business enterprises, combining management and economics theory with the practical tools needed to operate across borders. Teaching moves through three linked areas: running an international enterprise, including human-resource management, business psychology and responsible leadership; understanding the global business environment, covering international exchange, sustainable development and cross-cultural management; and building competitive advantage in international markets through marketing, strategic management, international finance and negotiation. Students learn to choose markets and locations, plan human and financial resources, carry out international market research to set pricing and assess risk, and analyse a company's international finances using current financial instruments. Teaching relies on problem-based learning, case analysis and literature review, with achievement measured through examinations on a ten-point scale. Graduates can pursue careers managing international departments of national enterprises, particularly in export and foreign investment, or continue into doctoral study in management or economics.
