Overview
The programme trains professionals and leaders to define and carry out strategic initiatives for both business and public-sector organisations through projects and programmes operating in a global context. Core modules build competence in managing projects and project-based organisations, covering project finance, strategic management, human resources, agile methods, quality and process management, and portfolio strategy, supported by research methods and leadership training, with electives in enterprise IT tools and change management. Teaching methods include problem-oriented lectures, role play, group and round-table discussion, debates, case studies and individual or group research assignments. The degree is completed with a master's thesis built on independent empirical research into a real organisation's project performance, chosen from one of four themes: project-management areas, processes, types or organisational competencies. The curriculum follows the IPMA competence framework, and graduates are positioned to seek IPMA level-D certification. Career paths lead into project-manager roles across private and public organisations managing national and international initiatives, with the option to continue into doctoral study.
