Master en Sciences de l’éducation – Gestion et développement des écoles is a master's degree in Education & Teaching programme taught at Université du Luxembourg in Luxembourg, Luxembourg. The programme runs for 2 years, delivered on campus. It carries 60.0 credits (ECTS). Tuition for international students is EUR 400 per semester (EUR 400 per semester for local students).
Aimed at working teachers in Luxembourg's fundamental education sector, this part-time, on-the-job Master develops expertise in leading and developing schools. It runs over four semesters and teaching uses German, French, Luxembourgish and English. The programme shares its structure with the other two Masters in educational sciences: modules on foundations, theories and applications, with some courses taught jointly across the three tracks, and a closing thesis designed as practitioner research in the participant's own school context. The emphasis here is on educational governance, school development and management questions rather than classroom didactics. Entry requires a four-year teaching Bachelor, current employment as a teacher and completion of the national induction traineeship, together with strong skills in the country's main languages. Graduates are positioned for specialised teaching careers, notably the role focused on school development, and for leadership functions such as school president, regional director or deputy director, and pedagogical adviser.
