MA/MS in Classics and Ancient Civilizations (research)

This selective research master's trains students to carry out research, write project proposals, secure research funding, and communicate results to academic and public audiences, combining in-depth disciplinary study with an interdisciplinary context that covers both the Near East and the Classical World. Students choose a disciplinary specialisation in Ancient Near Eastern Studies, Archaeology, Ancient Studies or Classics, while core modules and electives encourage positioning that discipline within a wider interdisciplinary academic context; the whole programme, including the thesis, can also be given an interdisciplinary orientation.
