BA/BS in Construction Engineering

University of Doha for Science and Technology's Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering is a four-year program aimed at Qatar's construction sector. Students build a grounding in engineering design and project management alongside construction-specific mechanics, working toward the ability to plan, design, carry out and manage construction projects, including the upkeep and rebuilding of existing infrastructure. A semester-long in-field placement in year three puts students on real construction sites before they reach their final year. That final year centres on an in-depth independent study of a genuine construction engineering problem, which feeds into a capstone project run alongside a further work placement. The combination of applied design training, site experience and a capstone project is intended to leave graduates ready for construction-engineering careers that call for both technical competence and project oversight from day one.
