MA/MS in Process Safety

This master's trains engineers to identify, measure and reduce safety hazards in chemical operations, building on a chemical-engineering foundation with coursework aimed specifically at process-safety risk. Students work through industry case studies and get hands-on practice measuring hazardous materials and assessing air and water quality against local and international health and safety standards. A dedicated risk-management strand covers the kinds of incidents that process-safety specialists are trained to prevent, from chemical exposures and fires to process upsets and human error. Program content is aligned with recognised international micro-credentials such as NEBOSH, OSHA and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, giving graduates credentials that are recognised well beyond Qatar.
