Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence

This four-year honours degree is offered jointly by the computing and data science college and the physical and mathematical sciences school at NTU. It trains students in statistics, computing and AI so they can design data-driven solutions to pressing social problems. The curriculum covers data science fundamentals such as preparing, storing, modelling, analysing and visualising data, artificial intelligence topics such as reinforcement learning, robotics and language processing, and advanced methods for mining large datasets. Students apply learning through projects and placements with industry in fields from health to sustainability, and modules deal with ethics, policy and data security. Admission is open to students with a strong foundation in mathematics who meet NTU's general criteria, with results from A Levels, the IB Diploma, the NUS High School Diploma or a polytechnic diploma. Named careers include data scientist, machine learning engineer, data architect, data analyst and business intelligence developer.
