Bachelor of Science in Economics and Data Science

This four-year honours degree is newly launched and combines three subject areas, economics, mathematics and data science, drawing on three NTU schools: social sciences, physical and mathematical sciences, and computing and data science. Students receive a firm foundation in economics and learn to handle large datasets, building the ability to draw economic insight from modern data analysis. To graduate, students complete 140 academic units from economics major requirements, data science major requirements and the interdisciplinary collaborative core. Course exemptions are open to eligible students, who can apply in their opening semester. Applicants with A Levels need the general requirements plus a good grade in H2 Mathematics and in General Paper or Knowledge and Inquiry. IB applicants need Higher Level Mathematics and Standard Level English, and NUS High School applicants need a CAP of 2.0 as a major in Mathematics. International applicants need Mathematics plus senior high school English.
