Doctor of Philosophy in Computing and Data Science

NTU's computing and data science college accepts full-time and part-time doctoral students. It also supervises Master of Engineering candidates and takes part in industrial postgraduate schemes with EDB, among them a collaboration with Kunlun on language models, multimodal technology, music and speech processing, video and 3D modelling. The PhD suits graduates who wish to contribute to research at the frontier of computing and data science and to work on questions that matter to industries and societies. Admissions staff look at several items: a good first degree at honours level (Distinction or above), English proficiency evidence through TOEFL or IELTS where the degree was not taught in English, a research proposal, a resume, and academic reference reports, at least one from a faculty member. GRE or GATE results are optional but can strengthen an application.
