Overview

NTU's computing and data science college (CCDS) offers a Master of Engineering by research that can be taken full-time or part-time. The college describes a research environment backed by strong research infrastructure and wide links with partners in academia and industry. The degree is meant for graduates who want to contribute to research in computing and data science. Applicants assemble a research proposal, a resume and academic referee reports as evidence of their potential and motivation, together with evidence of technical and English proficiency. At least one referee should be a member of academic staff, for example from the applicant's previous university. Strong scores on the GRE, or on the GATE for Indian applicants, are not compulsory but improve an application.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: A strong bachelor's degree with minimum Honours (Distinction) or equivalent. TOEFL or IELTS is required for applicants whose bachelor's degree was not taught in English. Applicants also submit a research proposal, a resume and academic referee reports, at least one from an academic staff member. GRE or GATE scores are not required but strengthen an application; GATE should be at least the 90th percentile. TOEFL or IELTS dates must be within two years, GRE within five and GATE within three.
