Diploma in Applied Chemistry

This applied chemistry diploma is for students who want to see how chemistry solves practical problems. The course is laboratory-based, with training in modern labs and projects drawn from real situations, and the page notes that UK institutions recognise it. Students work with industry specialists and with universities in Singapore and abroad, and internships are available at multinational companies and small and medium enterprises. A module on laboratory management teaches the requirements of ISO17025 accreditation for chemical testing laboratories, including validating analytical methods, measuring uncertainty, handling chemicals safely and auditing. Graduates can move into university faster through the accelerated pathway programmes with NTU and NUS. Elective modules can be grouped into one of six minors, including Data and Artificial Intelligence, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability.
